Lemonades, gumdrops and daffodils are just a few of my favorite things. Now, add to that list, these delightful, yellow suede flats with a hint of heels. A.k.a, my happy shoes. Crafted by Seychelles, they go by slightly different names depending on the retailer. At Nordstrom, they are Plateau Ankle Strap Flat and at Anthropologie, they are Seychelles Plateau City Flats. They are essentially one and the same design. The only difference is that Nordstrom offers them in the Taupe Suede color, as well. I would say, get them where you can find your size and get the best deal.
Simple, chic and fun, they are made for walking and dancing. (Believe me, I tried all sorts of awkward dance moves and they happily complied.) The ankle straps are great in making sure the shoes aren’t flopping about as I move about. These shoes also pair well with everything from jeans to skirts but my favorite has got to be with straight and flare denims. I have to size up by half size since my feet are a little wide and I have always been in between sizes. If your feet are of regular or narrow widths, stick with your normal size.
My clumsy self broke my foot years ago and I have shied away from wearing high heels as they only bring pain. These one inch heels are perfect. My feet and I can’t be any happier.
