I enjoy browsing and shopping but not when it comes to getting a pair of white denim. Finding one last year was frustrating and fruitless. Frustrating especially for the sales lady who would bring piles of white jeans to the dressing room for me to try. (*I am so sorry*) I tried all the different brands, such as, but not limited to, GAP, Old Navy, Loft and even brands like AG and Paige that are perennial favorites. But, all I could see, without fail, were the dreadful creases stretched around the back of my thighs and butt. I don’t mind them as much with the blue denims but in white, they are amplified and quite unsightly.
This year, I find myself especially desperate for a pair of white jeans since I am in the lilac and pink mode. Maybe it’s the floral and the pastel overload I am getting from all the store displays. Who knows? The point is, I decided that this is they year I find “the one”. Who could resist pairing pastel colored tops with white jeans? So, I set out on a quest to find the “perfect” white jeans for my frame.
Standing at 5ft tall, cropped length is a must to avoid incurring any added expenses. I also decided to avoid anything too skinny or tight since I am pear-shaped. I learned that much from last year. Also, I convinced myself to be open to sizing up, even by 2-3 sizes. Or, go with curvy cut when it’s available. It took many trips to the mall, through piles of white jeans and multiple online orders but I finally found one that I am happy with. And… I am keeping it a secret! Hah! So kidding! I cannot keep secrets. Here is a little clue…
It’s the 7 For All Mankind Kimmie Cropped Skinny Jeans in white and yes, I went up a size. The length is perfect for my height. It’s curvy cut is forgiving and flattering at the same time. Curvy girls, take note! Sure, there are still a few creases around the back but they aren’t too conspicuous and perfectly acceptable. The overall cut is a little slimmer than straight and has an elongating effect on the legs. The rise is a little higher than mid-rise, just the way I like it. The material is not too thin, thankfully, so preserving modesty is not a concern.
Have you gotten your white jeans yet? If not, what are you waiting for? It’s almost May!!!
Have a terrific Sunday!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Indeed it’s not an easy task despite all the offerings out there. Good luck in your search and we would love to hear if you find one. 🙂
